Chinese food therapy

Chinese food therapy is also known as Chinese nutrition therapy .It involves healing with the use of natural foods instead of medications. It is popular among Cantonese people because it is said that they enjoy slow cooked soups. The most commonly known soup is rice soup which is called in the names like congee and jook. There are various congee recipes available. It is particularly popular among Asian people around the world.

This is a traditional breakfast of Asian people all over the world. Congee recipes vary infinitely, depending upon the desired health benefits as well as taste. Chinese food therapy was introduced in early 2000 BC. It classifies food into four groups, five tastes according to their nature and characteristics.

They use the ideas called yin and yang in the sphere of food and cooking. Yang foods increase the body's heat whereas Yin foods tend to decrease it. So both the types of food to maintain the balance of the body.
