Color therapy
Color therapy is also called as chromatherapy or colourology. It is a popular alternative medicinal method. A color therapist use colour and light to balance the energy in our body. Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energies can be balanced by using color therapy. Colors and lights are applied to specific parts or acupoints of the body.
Since colors are associated with certain effects in color therapy, specific colors and accurate amounts of them are considered important in therapy. Gemstones, candles, wands, prisms, colored fabrics, bath treatments and colored glasses and lens are some of the tools used in color therapy for the application of colors. Colors can be administered in many ways. But they are often combined with aromatherapy and hydrotherapy to increase the therapeutic effect.
There is also scientific evidence for this therapy. It is believed that colors can cause emotional reactions in people. A test called Luscher's colour test is used for diagnosis in this therapy.
