Are You Embarrassed By Acne Scars? Why Not Try Laser Acne Treatment?

Even until these days, we don't know the exact causes of acne. Fortunately, a lot of options have appeared in the market, like acne laser treatment. This procedure has become quite popular in the US for treating this ailment. But remember, laser surgery acne removal should not be your only option. It's a bit more complicated than just applying a ray of death to those horrendous pimples in you body.

Why Should You Seek Laser Treatment For Acne?

The first reason is that it can eliminate the marks left behind by acne. It's not uncommon to find people whose faces seem to have been a cat's toy. Your face doesn't have to suffer the same destiny.

The second reason is that it's an excellent complement to any other treatments you are using for your condition. Although medicines can suppress a high percentage of acne, it doesn't eliminate the markings in your body.

How Does It Work?

Acne is a consequence of plugged pores. Since the pores can't excrete their normal exhaust of oil and dead cells, they start to accumulate. This environment is a perfect place for bacteria, which start multiplying themselves and cause an inflammation in the skin.

In a laser treatment for acne, the laser kills the bacteria that have spread through the wound and shrinks the sebaceous oil glands. This can be made through different type of light based systems. In the case of lasers, there are two types available for the treatment of acne:
Carbon Dioxide Laser
One of the earliest lasers to appear, it has the property of burning skin in such a way that promotes the production of collagen. It is principally used in deep acne scars.
YAG laser
The wavelength of this laser permits the vaporization of very thin layers of skin. Since it is emitted in bursts, it permits the treatment of uneven acne scars.

In the case of acne laser light treatment, the patient's skin is exposed to different sources of lights at different wavelengths. The most successful of them is blue light, whose wavelength permits the generation of porphyrin, a molecule that kills bacteria. Red light is used as an additional treatment since it improves the response of the skin.
