Important facts about hydrogen peroxide therapy
Hydrogen peroxide was first reported by Louis Jacques Thenard in 1818. The chemical formula of hydrogen peroxide is H2O2. Hydrogen peroxide is found in oceans, snow, rain etc.
This is created by the body to fight against harmful micro organisms like viruses, bacteria and fungi.
The boiling point of hydrogen peroxide is 2860F and the freezing point is 120F. This compound when stored well is very stable and is a colourless syrupy liquid.
Household uses include using it as a mild antiseptic and a mild bleaching agent.
This compound is used to water plants as it is a good source of oxygen. The naturally occurring hydrogen peroxide in rain water reacts with toxins present in the atmosphere and does not reach the plants. Therefore many farmers add a certain dilution of hydrogen peroxide to the water that is used for watering the plants. The same can be achieved at home. A 3% dilution should be added to a quart of water and used for watering the plants. Apart from being a good source of oxygen, this compound when sprayed is a good insecticide.
This compound, which is a rich source of oxygen, does not affect the normal micro flora of the body as they are aerobic and thrive in the presence of oxygen. As most pathogens are anaerobic in nature, the presence of hydrogen peroxide will affect these microbes.
Dr Charles Farr strongly supported the intravenous hydrogen peroxide therapy and showed that this compound improved the enzyme system in the body.
Hydrogen peroxide inhalation therapy involves the use of this compound as a nasal spray. The nasal spray can be used twice or thrice a day to remove congestion. It can also be used daily to ward off congestion during the flu season.
HPV is a sexually transmitted infection that caused warts in the hands, feet and the genitals. Hydrogen peroxide therapy has been found to cure HPV according to sources.
Hydrogen peroxide therapy for cancer treatment is advocated by some people who believe that certain forms of cancer proliferate due to lack of oxygen. The addition of hydrogen peroxide will increase the oxygen levels, thereby causing the cancerous cells to die or preventing proliferation.
It is believed that hydrogen peroxide will be able to reach places of low oxygen in the body which would correspond to the presence of cancerous cells. Healthy cells that are present are said to be provided with additional oxygen and thereby energy which could be utilized to ward off cancer. This is the basis of using hydrogen peroxide therapy for cancer.

Another school of though believes that hydrogen peroxide therapy for cancer treatment will not be useful as the level of oxygen amongst cancer cells they believe, is normal but the cells lose the capacity to utilize them. Therefore, hydrogen peroxide therapy for cancer treatment, according to them, is not useful.
Hydrogen peroxide therapy through IV is the common method of taking in hydrogen peroxide. Other methods that are followed include oral consumption, insertion through the nose, ear, rectum or even the vagina is performed.
Hydrogen peroxide therapy through IV takes about one and a half hours. Some people might request or require only a single infusion while some others require infusions about 5 days a week.
Hydrogen peroxide therapy through IV is said to cause side effects among certain people and the list of claimed side effects include breathlessness, nausea, body pain and chills.
There are people who claim that hydrogen peroxide therapy has helped them and has not caused any known side effect.
There are various different grades of hydrogen peroxide that are available and these should be used according to the prescribed situations.

Grade & use
1
3.5%
Pharmaceutical grade
These contain stabilizers and should not be used for ingestion. These are available in drug stores.
2
6%
Beautician grade
This is not for internal use and is used in beauty salons for hair colouring.
3
30%
Reagent grade
These are used as reagents in laboratories in experiments. As these contain stabilisers they are not for internal use.
4
30-32%
Electronic grade
This form is used in electronic stores for cleaning electronic equipment. These are not for internal use.
5
35%
Technical grade
This form is a more concentrated version of the reagent grade and contains phosphorous.
6
35%
Food grade
This form is allowed for internal use. It is sprayed on fruit juice cans and milk cans and is also used in the production of cheese.
7
90%
Rocket fuel
This is source of oxygen for use as rocket fuel.
The hydrogen peroxide that is available for use as food grade should be used with care. When this comes in to direct contact with skin, it could cause burning and rinsing with water should be an immediate remedy. The required amount of hydrogen peroxide that is required should be used and diluted. The remaining should be sealed and placed back in the freezer.
Though a large amount of scepticism exists for the use of hydrogen peroxide therapy, a lot of people still find this method of treatment effective. The side effects, they claim, is not caused when well qualified professionals perform hydrogen peroxide therapy. Many claim that this is a miracle treatment and that needless suffering is eliminated when this form of treatment is employed.
