Play therapy for children is not only meant to help children but also parents. Parents are the prime reason for the child's psychological problems. Therefore a play therapy method is aimed at treating the victim and also the root cause of the problem.

involve a person who is aware of the whole problem. However therapists may also decide to involve others who will be of help if required. Nevertheless the therapist will prefer to involve someone who has monitored the child's behavior and or is connected to the problem in one way or other. The therapist will not involve a person if his presence could cause embarrassment to the child and will not solve the problem unless or otherwise he thinks it will not have adverse consequences or if it will be helpful in the treatment.
