Siddha yoga meditation or ayurveda siddha considers nature and man to be one. Man is said to be the microcosm and our universe is the
macrocosm because whatever takes place in the world around us takes place in the human body too.
According to the medical science behind siddha, the universe consists of atoms which contribute to the five elements; earth,
water, fire, air and ether these are the fundamental subjects on which the medical siddha knowledge is based:
Vadham (Alchemy)
Aithiyam (Medicine)
Yogam (Yoga)
Gnanam or Thathuvam (Philosophy).

What is siddha yoga? The eight processes or Octomiracles (Atta-Ma-Siddhi) which could keep the body strong and perfect for external life, according to the siddha knowledge, are:

Anima The knowledge to reduce the human body to the size of an atom and to enable him to fly in space.
Mahima The power to expand oneself without limit.
Karima The power to reduce the primordial elements within the body.
Lahima The power to become as light as feathers.
Prapthi The knowledge that everything; past, present and future can be secured as desired.
Prahamiyam The power to penetrate like a ray and attain immortality.
Esathwam The supreme power over animates and inanimates in the universe.
Vasitham
The power to secure any object.
Perceived Benefits of Siddha Yoga
The benefits reaped from siddha yoga meditation or ayurveda siddha healing, vary per person. Some claims seem highly unlikely and there is no research to back these statements up, but some people are convinced that siddha yoga could even cure serious illnesses such as cancer and arthritis. Other perceived benefits are:
Siddha yoga will help you be free from any kind of addiction such as drugs, heroine, alcohol and cigarettes.
Siddha yoga helps you to get rid of tension and stress.
When practising siddha yoga problems related to your business or family will be solved.

If people are not able to meditate themselves, someone else can do it for them.
It seems that the best thing to do if you are interested in this type of yoga is finding our for yourself what it can do for you. But yoga should always be done because you enjoy doing it in the moment, and not to reach some kind of goal.
